It is said that the wights of waterfalls are likely to be the most friendly of the water wights. If a water wight is treated in the right way, it can be as close a felagi (friend) as a land wight, at least while its friend lives.
Fun fact: In 13th century Iceland, a bishop enacted a ruling that forbade Icelanders from waking up trolls or wights in waterfalls and howes.
I've been a solitary practitioner for over two decades now, many of which the years were spent hidden away out of sight as I stumbled along my crooked path - unlearning a great many things that were never meant to be mine, unearthing the wild within, and heeding the call of something much older, much wiser, and more powerful than I ever could have imagined starting out as a young girl. I don't like to box myself in with labels so 'witch' or 'pagan' works just fine for me.
